me and my so-called shopping ban

I had this 'brilliant idea' a few weeks ago that I would not buy anything else before we get settled into our new apartment up north.

Needless to say I am failing miserably and here are a few things that I picked up downtown today.
That I now have to go pack since our moving company is coming tomorrow. GO ME!

But I take comfort in the fact that some things are just way to pretty to leave behind! And we DO need more stuff now since our new apartment is like duoble the size of the old one - amiright?

Enjoy your weekend cupcakes

  2. I love the detail in that old crate.

And I'm enjoying your daily posts as you get closer, and closer, and closer . . . to your move.

The idea is to get organized and "thin down", not shopping for more stuff.
    Ha. You're fun.

  3. Oh, I love the crate! There are so many great uses for it too... surely this can be a justified purchase! Have a wonderful weekend. xo

  8. Hi hi ikke så lett å la være å shoppe noe. Men en kasse er jo uansett praktisk - for den kan du jo ha noe i når du pakker:)
Og helt sant - noen ting kan man bare ikke gå i fra:)
Ha en fin kveld. Klem Vivian

  9. I put myself on a shopping ban as well, and then broke it a couple weeks ago when I bought a necklace from the amazing jeweler who is doing a giveaway on my blog. I justified it with the fact that I can't win my own giveaway . . . and I love her stuff too much. It was worth it!

  10. Hihi, kjenner til den `innkjøpsstopp-tanken`!!
Men ikke så lett å holde seg til...
Fiiine ting du har kjøpt! Du kan jo til og med pakke litt i den trekassen;)
    God helg, søte du!
    Klem♥

  11. I'm curious to know how you use these :).

The image on my blog post I got from weheartit... I don't know how to find out where it came from originally.

  12. Ha, I've placed one of those shopping bans on myself in the past too ... only to break it before I realised (there's always a justification to find to excuse the buying of pretty things I think).

That crate is wonderful ... and you're completely right, with more space at your new place, you simply must fill it with glorious things. I hope the move goes really well.

  15. Hi Signe!
Oh, you bought a lovely, german (!) wooden vine case!
The letters mean: *Vine out of german countries*.This sentence is a bit old style.
    But nice! :))
A lot of work is waiting on you, so I have to wish you many energy to handle all that and at the end of the *day*, you`ll have a wonderful, cozy new home in a surrounding you like most at the moment!
Wish you all the best for your new four walls, Signe!

    Hugs, Beate :)
