pack up

Music by Eliza Doolittle / Picture by Anna Inghardt

As a side note, did you ever have someone trash talk you behind your back?
And if so, did it just drive you nuts or were you able to rise above it?

And why is it that the '3 girls together scenario' can become such a nightmare for many people? Is it really that much harder for girls to come out and talk about whatever problem they might have with someone to their face?

If you ever experienced anything like that I am sure you will be able to appreciate this song, it has such great lyrics and a carefree vibe. And she is right you know, we should all strive to not give a damn what people are going on about behind our backs! I mean, if they don't have the spine to come out and say it to your face they are not really worth the time of day - am I right?

Have a lovely Tuesday everyone :)

  1. You are so right! If someone talks behind your back and does not have the spine to say it to your face...then that person is not worth worring about. Love that song and the lyrics. Hope you are doing well, sweetie

  4. I've never come across this song before but I like it.

My problem is that I'll only put up with something for so long before I snap and say something which usually gets me into so much trouble. For some reason people seem to appreciate lazy, cheeky, annoying, paper pushers to those of us that actually put time and effort into doing our jobs and so much more.

Its one of the reasons I'll probably come across as back biting as I'll talk to the people around me about a situation for a solution. Of course then you need to know who to trust as some like to stir problems... its a tough one.

Its funny as I was going to do a Dear... on this subject.

  12. I love hearing your music! :) I couldn't agree more - people are not worth your time if they can't even bother to say something straight to your face! Life's too short!

  13. I so agree, love the song, too. You are too awesome of a person to let stupid girls get you down, Signe! XX!

  14. I did have that happen once...and I did nothing wrong - she was just a jealous person so had to bring things down. Rise above it!

  15. Oh yeah, I've definitely been trash talked behind my back. Not the world's best feeling at all.

  16. Oh yes, I've definitely had the talking behind my back experience. It is one of the worst feelings. And while I know I should just not think about it, and not care, I totally do. It bothers me and bums me out. Someday I hope to be able to just put this song on, sing along, and not let it bother me!

  18. There are few things more painful than learning someone was saying cruel things behind your back (a group of girls actually made a Facebook group about how much they hated me when I was in college). But they talk about because they envy you, or something you have, and that's not something you can change. Keep your chin up and smile-nothing makes them madder!

  21. we're all better off to say what we want and mean directly. the best thing to do is rise above it and not worry about any of it! sometimes so much easier said than done tho!

  24. as someone who was bullied relentlessly as a child i learned the hard way to turn the other cheek and let it go. easier said than done, but it sure served its purpose in adulthood.

My problem is that I do worry about those who talk behind my back; I so let it get to me. I shouldn't ever take it personally.
