The storyline in this movie is a pretty simple one:

A son trying to learn more about his dying father by 

reliving stories and myths his father told him about himself.

But in this simple story there is hidden great truth.

It tells us that true love is worth fighting for.

It tells us about the power of imagination.

It tells us about the value of letting your love stay true to themselves and how you should not strive to change them.

It tells us how we should not judge people even if we cannot always understand them and even if their ways are not the same as our own. 

It tells us about the value of family.

It tells us that death does not always have to be ugly.

And it tells us that we should stay true to your dreams.

At least that is what it told me...

As a side note, did you ever have someone trash talk you behind your back?
And if so, did it just drive you nuts or were you able to rise above it?

And why is it that the '3 girls together scenario' can become such a nightmare for many people? Is it really that much harder for girls to come out and talk about whatever problem they might have with someone to their face?

If you ever experienced anything like that I am sure you will be able to appreciate this song, it has such great lyrics and a carefree vibe. And she is right you know, we should all strive to not give a damn what people are going on about behind our backs! I mean, if they don't have the spine to come out and say it to your face they are not really worth the time of day - am I right?

Good morning! New week - new possibilities, am I right?

This week I am going to enjoy the first week of winter in Oslo, before the snow starts falling and the streets get filled with wet snow-slush! On Saturday I am going out with the girls to eat the best pizza in town and drink cava on Villa Paradiso to celebrate my lovely friend Ulla that is turning 30!

on the brink of winter

I dag hadde vi vår første vinterdag I Oslobyen hvor frosten 

varte langt utover de små morgentimene på tross av sola.

frost lasted beyond the early morning hours despite the sun.

swapidee swap

A while back I read about the Fall Swapidee Swap over at 'The Claw' 

and since I never participated in any of these blog swaps I figured it would be fun to try and signed up!

Yesterday I got my package from the lovely Sol and here is what was in it:

1. Lovely colorful sweets! Very yummy! (And it's always fun to try sweets from other countries, don't you think?) The chocolate is handmade and had the most awesome flavors like 'birds eye chili' and 'pineapple pistachio' - how cool is that? 
2. Venus Tea and a notebook.
3. Risotto and a huge chunk of fresh parmesan. Guess she figured out what a food-o-holic I am!
4. A bar of soap, a decorative tulip and a small glass heart.
