Second stop in 'My Oslo' is the Sunday marked at 'Blå'. I really can't think of a better way to spend my Sunday than to get out of bed late and walk over to Grünerløkka and hit the marked before I buy lunch at the bakery ‘Good Bread’. Maybe even make a stop by the marked in Birkelunden as well, but I’ll save that one for another time!
On the marked you find mainly arts and craft or used and vintage stuff. I have found anything from refrigerator magnets and postcards to vintage dresses and earrings here in my days. You can also sit down at ‘Blå’ (which is a café in daytime and a bar at night) and have a cold beer or pepsi in the shade and just watch people go by or the lazy river right beside you. There is also people selling waffles and coffee at the marked itself if you are not in the mood for café life.
Don't you just adore the outdoor chandelier?!
And the cute girl in half the pictures is my
good friend Ulla which I spend the day with :)
Oslo seems like such a beautiful place. Everything is so artsy. I wish I could visit and see all the items they sell especially the vintage stuff!
SvarSlettYou are right, both this marked and the place it's held is really artsy :)
SvarSlettWe don't have any markets in Bradford at the moment but they are re-constructing the city centre to have an open market which I can't wait to see when it finally happens as they ran out of money within the first year of just demolishing buildings, that was about 8 years ago! As for cafes I've never been to one as again we didn't have any but now we have a few appearing in the city but they are indoor ones. Thanks for sharing I love looking at Oslo
SvarSlettIt seems beautiful! x
SvarSlettBubbles: I hope they get done with the re-constructing soon and you get a marked in Bradford cause it's so much fun! :)
SvarSlettDevon: Love going there, such a great way to spend Sunday!
looks so lovely, I just love markets like that! I always come away with something unusual! I really feel like vintage shopping now with a nice coffee for a break and a moment to people watch! x
SvarSlettAw wow that market looks fantastic! Maybe it's high time I come and visit Oslo! Heehee ^_^
